Can I get a prescription?

Yes, your provider may prescribe medications to treat your bladder concerns when appropriate. Urology Health prescribes medication only when necessary, based on a comprehensive medical history, telehealth evaluation, and the provider’s medical expertise.

  • You will be asked to provide a valid driver’s license or passport to verify your identity.
  • Urology Health does not prescribe any controlled substances.
How do you handle labs?

Your provider may order tests and help coordinate everything you need to complete them. Our recommendation is to utilize our national mail-order lab provider, who accepts insurance, to complete your test within the comfort of your home.

You will receive a link after your visit with more information. Your test kit will include instructions for the urine or oral culture with a pre-labeled return package. Once mailed back to the lab, results are available in the Urology Health app within 48-72 hours.

What happens if I need to speak with a doctor right away?

If you need immediate care for an urgent or emergent concern, please seek care from a local in-person provider, urgent care, or emergency room. For a non-emergency issue, click to schedule a telehealth visit. Urology Health has providers working to help you with a wide variety of bladder concerns.

Can I use my health insurance?

Yes, you can use your medical insurance. We also accept HSA and FSA cards. Check our insurance list to see if Urology Health is participating with your medical insurance.

During onboarding, you will be asked to input your insurance information. As part of the insurance verification process, a cost estimate will be provided to you. This does not guarantee your medical insurance will approve coverage for services, and it does not represent a price guarantee. The actual amount you pay may be higher or lower than the estimate, based on the final determination from your medical insurance.

How is my medical insurance co-pay and deductible calculated?

Urology Health uses your insurance information to electronically reach out to your insurance to provide your co-pay, deductible, and/or co-insurance before each telehealth visit. This is called an eligibility check. The results from your medical insurance are shown as a cost estimate.

Depending on the type of insurance you have, you may be asked to pay your co-pay, deductible, and/or coinsurance.

Urology Health does not calculate insurance costs. We are dependent on the medical insurance’s accuracy. If you have questions about your eligibility or cost estimate, please contact your medical insurance directly.

What if my medical insurance cannot be processed?

During onboarding, if your eligibility cannot be verified, the resultant screen will provide two options to move forward. Our goal is always to get everyone who is interested started with the program and into a telehealth visit quickly. This is why we offer multiple payment options. Simply select the credit card, FSA, or HSA payment option. You can always submit a claim directly to your insurance after the visit.

If you would like to utilize your insurance, contact our support team. The Urology Health Care Navigators will assist you with medical insurance eligibility, benefit, or cost estimate concerns. This process may take up to 72 hours. We appreciate your patience while we partner together to resolve your medical insurance concerns.

Do I need an authorization?

Coverage depends on your medical benefit as outlined by your insurance. If your insurance requires authorization, Urology Health will help submit for the authorization. This process may take up to 48 hours. Please be patient as we diligently push to obtain a response from your medical insurance. There is no guarantee your medical insurance will approve the authorization.

If you want to be seen right away, you have the option to select a credit card payment option.

What if Urology Health is not participating with my insurance?

Urology Health accepts several types of payments, including HSA and FSA options.

What is the refund process?

You may request a refund by contacting support. Please note Urology Health does not provide refunds for a completed visit, whether or not your provider prescribed medication. Urology Health does still charge for no-shows. It is important to reschedule your visit if you have any conflicts, even last minute.
